The current trend of challenging and banning books in school districts and libraries across the country has some book lovers concerned about the new restrictions on the right to read. Also worthy of note is the restructuring of curriculum in some school districts to omit critical parts of American history. Rare Book Cafe regular Gigi Best, who is a genealogist and museum owner, weighs in on the topics.
