In
this episode, co-hosts Lee Linn and Richard Mori enjoy a delightful
time with friend and longtime supporter of the Florida Antiquarian Book
Fair Meredith Myers, who is billed as the Stand-up Librarian in her life
as an entertainer.
Meredith has been a regular exhibitor at the
book fair for many years and has been associated with the event in
various capacities, including serving as spokesperson.
Meredith
exhibits at the book fair, showing and offering her book-related
fashions and accessories. Meredith credits longtime exhibitor Edie
Eisenstein with being her inspiration and encouraging her to begin
producing her creative products.
Meredith invites those
interested to her websites, stand-uplibrarian.com and meredithmyers.com
to learn more about her offerings.
Richard comments about the
dangerous wildfires in California and makes note that people in the
biblio community should visit the ABAA website to learn more about the
organization’s benevolent fund designed to help booksellers in dire
circumstances.
