MEET MONTE THE MOUNTIE. HE'S A BOOK LOVER.

Formally, he’s Sgt. Montgomery Bookkins of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He’s a righter of wrongs, rescuer of damsels in distress, and book lover extraordinaire. He also happens to be on assignment in Florida right now.

And he’s come into possession of two tickets to the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair. But he knows no one to take to this book lovers’ paradise.

So we’ve created a contest to find the worthy winner.

Here’s what you have to do:

In 25 words or less, tell us why you should be selected. That’s all there is to it.

Entries will be judged on the reasons expressed, use of language, imagination, and cleverness. The decision of the judges is final. Entries must be emailed by 11 p.m. on January 27 to floridabookfair2@gmail.com.

Oh, and keep in mind that Monte is on duty, and there’s a good chance he’ll be called away on a case. If that happens, the winner might receive TWO tickets to the book fair, one to share with a friend. (Just so you know.)

Employees for the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair, exhibitors at the book fair, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. 

But everyone else is.
